As we move towards an electrified, autonomous mobility kind of motoring future, car companies like Nissan Motor Co. Ltd have not forgotten about where we came from.
While it pushes for electric cars, it manages to infuse a bit of old school-ness into its concept cars.
Base in point is the duo of concepts that are on the display at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show.
First up is the Nissan Ariya Concept.
It’s the Japanese brand’s take on what its future offerings could look like. Having said that, it somehow still looks more like a regular car rather than a spaceship.
In fact, it draws inspiration from traditional Japanese design language, resulting in a Timeless Japanese Futurism artistic vibe.
Then there is the IMk urban crossover concept that is yet another peek into what many folks could be driving in the near future.
With crossovers being all the rage these days, it somehow makes sense to let everyone know how these will look like in say, 5 or so years’ time.
While no details were given on mechanicals and other bits, Nissan did say that these concepts are pure electric and come with the next-generation of its Intelligent Mobility suite of driver, powertrain, and vehicle integration systems.
It’s all designed to be kind to our planet and its inhabitants
For now, these are cool concepts that will be on display at the Tokyo Motor Show, which will be open to the public from October 25 to November 4, 2019.
Care to guess which among Nissan’s lineup will be the production version of these cutting-edge concept cars?
