J&T Express, the leading e-commerce delivery company in Southeast Asia, has mobilized its resources with the aim of assisting in the transporting relief goods as well as providing other logistical requirements.
Since the government-imposed lockdown of the country last March 15, the company has offered its services, for free, to local governments to distribute relief goods in areas of Mandaluyong, Muntinlupa, Pasig, Pasay, Laguna, Lucena, and Davao.
According to Dean Ding, chief executive officer of J&T Express Philippines, the company will assist any local government unit that is in need of their resources in ensuring that much-needed relief goods reach those citizens who need it the most.
“As socially-responsible corporate entity operating in the country, we feel it is our duty to do what we can to help local governments get people the aid they need. Logistical service is now more needed than ever and we are all too happy to put our resources and manpower in the service of others,” he said.
The company also announced that it mobilized for the Office of the Vice-President in its efforts to aid those most affected. Ding also stressed that the company is accepting requests for mobilization not only for local government units but for non-government organizations (NGOs) and members of the private sector who wishes to do their part in this time of need.
