As part of its efforts to contain the spread of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Philippine government has issued a nationwide Enhanced Community Quarantine or ECQ. This strongly requires people to stay at home, with travel restrictions mainly for the purpose of resupplying essential items such as food, medicine, and toiletries.
Per the rule, only the most needed establishments are to remain open to serve. These include supermarkets, community markets, select food establishments (limited to take out and delivery services), select bank branches, clinics, gasoline stations, among others. All establishments complied accordingly and are strictly required to enforce social distancing practices to their respective clients.
Caltex Philippines is one of these. In fact, it has implemented a new set of operating hours to all of its service stations, particularly in Davao City which was recently been put under ECQ from 9:00 pm of April 4 to 11:59 pm of April 19.
All business establishments in Davao are closed during the ECQ, with the exception of those in the medical, food, finance, gasoline, cargo, utilities, and delivery services according to Davao City Executive Order No. 23.
Select Caltex stations in Davao City will continue to be operational and provide continuous fuel supply to help sustain the mobility of basic goods, healthworkers, medical supplies, front liners, and the general public. For the full list of open Caltex stations, refer to the list below.
