The following day was when the e:HEV engines were put to the test as the activity was focused on an Eco Challenge for the drive down to Clark, Pampanga. Media participants were grouped accordingly and competed against other teams who were riding the same car model. From Baguio City, the whole convoy traversed the mountain roads down to Rosario. From TPLEX all the way to Clark, participants behind the wheel were required to drive at a speed of 80kph. At this point, the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) feature of the Honda SENSING proved to be convenient as this allowed the driver to simply set the car’s speed at 80kph and cruise along the expressway until the convoy reached Clark. In the end, the winning teams yielded excellent fuel economy which are as follows: team CR-V achieved 28.4km/L, team Civic got 29.8km/L and team HR-V secured 31.5km/L.
