Peugeot Philippines, through its official distributor Eurobrands Distributor, Inc., has announced that it closed 2016 on a high note.

According to Peugeot Philippines President Glen Dasig, the brand’s market performance went up by 8.1% in 2016 with a total of 465 units successfully sold. This new record is a step in the right direction for the relatively new player in the local automotive scene as its 2015 sales was capped at 430 units.

Dasig attributes a part of the brand’s achievement to a number of steps it took to make a name in the local market. One of its recent projects was the successful staging of the first Targa Manila rally. It also reached out to more people through the sport of tennis by holding the Peugeot Philippines Tennis Open in 2015-2016 which has evolved into the on-going Peugeot Philippines Tennis Invitational.

Another key of Peugeot Philippines’ positive growth is its introduction of models like the 308 and its hatchback, station wagon, and GTi variants. The said model joins Peugeot Philippine’s notable line of nameplates such as the RCZ, 208 GTi, 301, 508, 2008, 3008, 5008, and the Expert Tepee.

It’s also worth mentioning that the brand prides itself with the Peugeot en Point, a training and certification program it conducts to level up the expertise of its manpower, expand its dealer network, and strengthen its After Sales program.

But the biggest success contributor of them all is the Filipino car buyer. According to Dasig, “Last year, we saw more customers embracing our brand and recommending our products to their families and their friends. Stories about positive experiences with our brand increased and customer loyalty became more evident.”
