The Ford Fiesta debuted in our market a good six years ago. The little Ford was revealed with so much fanfare that Ford actually gave a slew of sneak-peeks months before actual delivery, just to whet everyone’s appetite. And somehow, it worked. While not selling as much as the country’s favorite subcompact, the car still rolled out of the showroom in decent numbers.
And after six long years, Ford unveils a new-generation model in Cologne, Germany today. The new Ford Fiesta will come in four flavors: the Fiesta Titanium, Fiesta ST, the Fiesta V, and the versatile Fiesta Active crossover. Each one is designed to cater to varying tastes and customer needs.
What all four variants share, however, are the more sophisticated lines that give the car a premium vibe. Despite its small car leanings, the overall demeanor is more upscale. Speaking of premium, the interior, too, gets an eight-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system. The entertainment and connectivity package now features Ford’s Sync3 that is a step up from the previous version in terms of usability. It is also the first Ford to come with B&O Play for that awesome listening experience while on the move.
Ford hasn’t given any powertrain details as of press time, though. But we’ll give these to yu once we have them.
