Toyota isn’t just building cars lately. The Japanese auto giant is now giving road users tools to be able to use their cars in a smarter way. Case in point is the new TC Smartphone Navigation app.

The app, as the name suggests, will utilize the T-Probe traffic management app that is already in use in countries like Toyota’s home Japanese market. It will display traffic info and route history that are helpful in plotting the best way to one’s destination.

The app will also display aerial photos of disaster areas so that motorists can easily avoid them. Moreover, TC Smartphone Navigation app will have the ability to link with external navigation and traffic management providers, such as Waze and the like, to further boost its overall capabilities. The end goal is to provide the motorist with the most-stress-free way to get in and around the environment they travel in.

The Toyota TC Smartphone Navigation app will initially be available in Japan. In the end, it should make life truly a breeze, except if one were to travel along gridlocked stretches like EDSA.
