Aston Martin Manila has started 2017 with a bang as they unveiled the all-new DB11. As the successor to the British luxury brand’s long-running DB9 model, the DB11 presents a fresh vibe through its new exterior looks, power plant, and aerodynamic tech called “Aeroblades.”
Compared to its predecessor, the DB11 heads the way with its bolder, more refined fascia. Accenting its new single-piece clamshell hood is a redesigned grille and a set of sharper-looking LED headlights and daytime running lights (DRL).
In profile, the DB11 flaunts a smooth-flowing aerodynamic silhouette. It also retains the brand’s signature doors that open out and up, allowing for easier ingress and egress. At the back resides a set of LED tail lights and a reshaped bumper with dual exhausts tips.
One unique feature of the all-new Aston Martin DB11 are its “Aeroblades.” In a nutshell, the Aeroblades help generate downforce without the need of a rear wing. It does this with the help of air inlets located on the C-pillars. The inlets channel air flow into the bodywork and send it out through small ducts on the trunk lid. The resulting downforce helps the DB11 gain a more stable handling at speed.
The DB11 is also the first production model Aston Martin with a turbocharged engine. With that being said, it comes equipped with a new hand-built gasoline-fed 5.2L twin-turbo V12 power plant that delivers 608 hp and 700 Nm of torque. The said engine helps the DB11 achieve a 0-100 km/h acceleration rate of just 3.9 seconds. It will eventually reach a maximum speed of 322 km/h. These said performance figures make the DB11 the most powerful Aston Martin DB model to date.
“The launch of the DB11 rightfully places Aston Martin as a leading brand in the ultra-high luxury segment in the Philippines, and we are delighted with the strong order bank we have on this model,” expressed Marc Tagle, Aston Martin Manila President and Chairman.
Aston Martin Manila is now accepting orders for the all-new DB11.
