A Christmas Carol is yet another treat for BGC patrons this holiday season. If the name sounds familiar, that’s because this is the very same play taken from the book by Charles Dickens, who tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge. Scrooge, who meets the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, will teach everyone a thing or two about the true meaning of the season. The production is given more life by the musical genius of composer Alan Menken.
Those that want a more Filipino Christmas, meanwhile, can attend the traditional nine-day Simbang Gabi, BGC-style. This solemn celebration that reminds us of the reason for the season—our Lord’s birthday—runs from December 5-24 at 6pm at the Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater. And in true Simbang Gabi style, hot choco and ensaymada will be available after the Mass at a stall put up by Lorenzo’s Way.
