Last February, Audi revealed the latest-generation A6 sedan. As you may recall, the sleek lines and tech-filled package were the midsize offering’s main ighlights. And just two months after, the even sexier wagon version finally comes out.

If you’re not a wagon fan, then we suggest you click ahead to another article. But if you like the body style, then there is a lot to love about this Audi. For one, the extended rear roof gives the car a class-leading 0.27 drag coefficient. That added sheetmetal also makes for a truly versatile 565L of cargo space with the rear seats up. This can be further incrased to 1,680L.

In true Audi fashion, a lot of tech and innovative features have been put in place either as standard or additional extras. The A6 Avant (wagon) gets goodies like an electric tailgate with matching power cargo cover, as well as a rail system, cargo net, tie-down hooks, and a tensioner strap to keep your valuables in place.

Just like the sedan, the wagon will get a host of gasoline and diesel variants. Each one will come with a mild hybrid system which, together with the sleek drag coefficient, promises better fuel economy. This will be further aided by either 7-speed S-tronic or 8-speed Tiptronic gearboxes and a coasting feature. The latter will allow the wagon to coast up to 160kph without the engine running.

The new Audi A6 wagon will be available to order real soon.
