Aston Martin, a luxury sports car brand from Britain, has set its sights today in China for this year’s Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (BIAE). In the said motor show, it showcased some of its latest wares designed for road and track use.
First on the list is the new Vantage, a mean-looking coupe designed in accordance to Aston Martin’s latest global identity. Motivated by aggressively-designed exterior and interior motifs, these underscore the car’s beefy 4.0L V8 motor that unleashes 510 hp and 685 Nm of toque with the help of an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Here’s our report on that amazing car’s global debut last year.
Next is the new Vantage’s race-ready version – the Aston Martin Racing Vantage GTE. This is the machine which Aston Martin Racing will enter in this year’s World Endurance Championship (WEC), the 2018 Le Mans 24-hour race, and the 2018 Spa-Francorchamps 6-hour endurance race. It will be piloted by Maxime Martin, a seasoned GT racing driver who started off his career in the early 2000s.
Finally, the 2018 BIAE is also where the brand’s DB11 family makes a grand reunion. As such, the V12- and V8-powered Aston Martin DB11s take center stage (while on the subject of the latest DB11, check out our coverage of the Aston Martin DB11 V8 Philippine launch). These will be accompanied by the DB11 Volante, the model’s convertible version.
The 2018 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition will be on from April 25 to May 4 at the China International Exhibition Center.
