Freedom of Choice Comes to the Philippines: Aston Martin Manila Unveils the V8-Powered DB11

The definitive Grand Tourer—this is how Aston Martin describes the DB11. While Aston Martin’s first new model under its second century plan is no stranger to the Philippine luxury sports car market, what buyers have been getting here is the potent 5.2-liter, 608hp, twin-turbo V12. Now, Aston Martin Manila gives clients the freedom of choice as it offers the new V8-powered DB11.

Unveiled just last July to the world, the latest DB11 variant features an equally powerful 503hp 4.0-liter V8, also with twin turbocharging. Thanks to its 675Nm of twisting force, the eight-cylinder Aston puls from rest to the century mark in just 4.0 seconds—just 0.1 ticks slower than its V12 sibling. If the road permits, drivers can head on to a top speed of 301kph.

This new Aston Martin Db11 version is more than just another trim level with a different engine. The British carmaker has put in place cutting-edge tech that help it keep in step or even exceed standards in the cut-throat sporty GT class.

The new mill, for instance, uses intake, exhaust, and wet sump lubrication to aid in engine efficiency and performance. Then there is the lump itself which is smaller and lighter, making for improved driving dynamics. Moreover, the use of new engine mounts allows engineers to position the powerplant lower for more even weight distribution.

Of course, most owners wouldn’t care about the aforementioned tech-babble. What they would most likely notice are the darker headlamp bezels, pair of hood vents in either black or titanium (as opposed to the four vents on the V12), and new set of alloys, just to name a few. And who can miss that stunning profile?

The new Aston Martin DB11 V8 is now available at Aston Martin Manila.
