Firestone, a subsidiary tire brand of Bridgestone, has returned to the local market after a 20-year hiatus. As regard, it recently launched the Firestone FS100, a touring tire developed for the road using advanced tech from Bridgestone’s years of experience on the race track.

Digging into the details, the Firestone FS100 is made to cater to the country’s booming subcompact car segment. As such, owners of such cars as the Toyota Vios, Hyundai Accent, Ford Fiesta, and the likes are its target market.

One of the Firestone FS100’s major highlights is its Envelop Ply Construction. Without getting too technical, this construction has layers of rubber overlapping one another to form a tougher, more robust tire compound. This, in turn, lessens vibration to provide a smoother ride. In addition, the Firestone FS100’s outer layer is reinforced with more durable materials that protect the inner layers from penetration damages.

“We’re excited to bring the iconic Firestone back. As a brand built on quality and dependability, our customers can look forward to affordable tires that will keep them safe and comfortable on the road. For a state-of-the-art, high-quality tire, the FS100 offers exceptional value that will bring both quality and safety within the reach of our consumers,” said Steven Tagle, Assistance Vice President for Sales of Philippine Allied Enterprises Corporations (PAEC), the official distributor of Bridgestone in the Philippines.
