Since 2013, Castrol Philippines has been mentoring thousands of motorcycle mechanics to be the best they can be through its Partner For Life program. The good news is that this year, the lubricant maker will be holding its 4th iteration of the program to produce more world class Filipino mechanics.

The 4th Castrol Partner For Life program is slated on November 27, 2017 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City and will run across 100 Castrol-accredited training centers nationwide.

Similar to last year’s event, the program will consist of 3 technical training modules held over a 6-month period. After that, the best mechanic from each training center will then enter a national competition to clinch the coveted Castrol Mechanic of the Year.

“As a brand committed to safer rides and road safety, we feel we have a big role to play in upgrading the skills of our motorcycle mechanics. Castrol’s Partner for Life program gives us the opportunity to reach out to help develop more mechanics into knowledgeable, confident advisors and our partners in protecting our riders on the road,” said Maria Tañada, Country Sales Director of Castrol Philippines.

But Castrol Philippines has an even more exciting endeavor ahead. Case in point, it will prime last year’s top-notching mechanics Roel Ian Bustaleño, Joy Cabras, Joveryl Nesperos, and Jackson Li for an international competition called the Castrol Asia Pacific Mechanic Contest to be held on November 8 to 10, 2017 in Thailand. The 3 Filipino mechanics, all from Davao, will battle it out against teams from such Asia Pacific nations as Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and India.
