Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) puts customer safety at the forefront once again as it issues a voluntary recall on select models. The said recall aims to fix a suspected defect in the inflator of the driver’s side airbag.

Under the recall, select units of the City, Jazz, Civic, Accord, CR-V, and Pilot sold in the country from 2001 to 2015 are affected. HCPI says that this is a preventive measure to ensure that no untoward incidents will take place because of the suspected defect. To date, however, no accidents have yet been reported.

“We urge affected customers to have their vehicles repaired in any Honda Cars Dealership, as soon as possible.”, said HCPI President and General Manager, Noriyuki Takakura.

HCPI says that the fix is free of charge and will only take around 1 hour. It can be done at any authorized Honda dealership or service center. Customers may check if their vehicle is affected  by the recall by logging on to http://hondaphil.com/services/vin-search/ or calling the Honda hotline numbers at 1-800-1000-HONDA (46632) or 857-7240 from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
