Just recently, Nissan Philippines, Inc. (NPI) pulled the wraps off the new Navara. This move from the Japanese carmaker came to no one’s surprise as the local pickup truck segment is seeing a rise in competitiveness, which can be attributed to the change in lifestyle and market preferences of Filipinos.

We do have a feature article about the new Navara, and as per this author, it’s one of the most “badass” pickups in the lot. You can check it out by clicking here. But what better way to showcase this beast, than with a short video, right?

In this short video, motoring journalist James Deakin takes command of the new Navara and its Pro-4X variant to conquer a specially-designed off-road course. The course, which comprised of steep hills, humps, and inclines, served to highlight the truck’s improved suspension and 4-wheel-drive off-road prowess. But the highlight of the show was a “dark tunnel” in which Deakin utilized one of the new Navara’s onboard Intelligent Mobility featured called “Around-View Monitor”.

All that and more on this James Deakin First Driving Impression of the 2021 Nissan Navara.
