Chinese luxury automaker GAC, through its official local distributor Legado Motors, Inc. (LMI), is already looking forward to a prosperous 2019, less than a month after is Philippine debut. That’s because it recently held a ground breaking ceremony and a contract agreement signing to spearhead the construction of its upcoming dealerships in Luzon and Visayas.

Under the leadership of LMI CEO Wilbert Lim, GAC Motor held a ground breaking event last December 12 to mark the beginning of GAC Motor Tarlac. The said dealership will be located along McArthur Highway in Tarlac City, one of the many strategic locations for business and commerce in Central Luzon.

GAC Motor Tacrlac covers 1,670 sqm of lot area. When completed, this 4S dealership would house state-of-the-art facilities and a modern architecture to provide excellent service.

“We are grateful for the positive feedback and support that we have been receiving from dealer applicants and customers since we launched the brand in the country last month. Our goal is to continuously expand our dealership nationwide in the coming years,” shared Wilbert Lim as he leads the ceremonial ground breaking shown on the photo above. With him was Vice President for Sales and Operations Giovanni Frias, LMI Chief Financial Officer Regina Lim, Dra. Juanita Chua and Dr. Jose Chua Jr. of Dreamcar Unlimited Automotive Corporation, and GAC Motor-China Regional Sales Manager Frank Liu.

Just over a week prior, LMI also inked a contract agreement with Vince Lim of Autozam Motors to build another 4S dealership in Mandaue City, Cebu. Set to be built up to the highest standars similar to the Tarlac dealership, GAC Motor Cebu will also feature high-tech facilities within a modern design architecture aimed at giving top-notch service.

In his words, Wilbert Lim expressed, “We want to open the opportunity for every Filipino to own world-class yet affordable vehicles. This goal is possible with the support and trust of committed dealers.”

GAC is one of China’s fast-rising luxury car brands. Entering the Philippine market just last November, it boasts an array of vehicles aimed to challenge the local high-end market that’s dominated by entities from European countries such as United Kingdom, Italy, and Germany.

Of note, GAC Motor Philippines sells such models as the GA4 sedan (available in 1.5-liter manual and 1.3-liter gas turbo automatic transmissions), GA8 executive sedan (available in four and five-seater variants), GS4 subcompact SUV, GM8 premium seven-seater minivan, and the flagship model, and the GS8 large SUV (available in 4x2 and 4x4 variants).
