The Honda Civic Type R gets an update

.
November 5, 2018

It’s hard to believe but the Honda Civic Type R is already a few years old. What this means for the hot hatch is that it should be just right for a minor facelift. This is what Honda did as it introduces the 2019 Type R.

While it still looks fairly unchanged on the outside, the Japanese carmaker does include a new shade of Snoic Grey Pearl in its lineup. This new color joins the Championship White and Rally Red being offered for the sporty model.

In addition, Honda tweaks the interior with a new infotainment system with physical buttons for volume and other functions. Bluetooth connectivity has also been improved while the steering wheel-mounted controls now feature a scroll function. And the electronic parking brake now gets a new light indicator to help with usage.

The new Honda Civic Type R will go on sale in other markets beginning this November. As for our market, no word from Honda Cars Philippines yet on when it will make its way here.
