From November 12 to 15, the Philippines will play host to the 2017 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (ABIS) to be held in key parts of Metro Manila.

On that regard, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai vehicles in the country, was chosen to be the said week-long political event’s official mobility partner. This is a momentous achievement for HARI as it’s celebrating the Korean brand’s 50th anniversary, along with the 50th founding of ASEAN back in 1967. To accomplish the given role, HARI will field 50 units of its luxurious H350 to chauffeur VIPs and dignitaries to and from a number of event venues in the metro.

The Hyundai H350 is a full-size van that boasts an elegant exterior and a comfortable, spacious, and functional interior good for 14 people. With a cabin dimension of 20ft in length, 9.4ft in width, and 6.7ft in height, its occupants can enjoy copious amounts of standing and walking space without hampering comfort.

It comes with overhead storage compartments so occupants can safety stow away their bags, suitcases, and more essential stuff. The infotainment system, on the other hand, features a central hub that can support all types of media files and devices, an important amenity for on-the-go presentations and calls.

At the core of the H350 is a turbocharged diesel-fed 2.5L mil that makes 170 hp and 421 Nm of torque. This power plant is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission.

In review, this isn’t the first time HARI served as an official mobility partner for big international events. Back in 2012, it served the 45th ADB Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors. Two years later, it accomplished the huge task of providing rides for the dignitaries of the ASEAN Finance Ministers Investments Seminar (AFMIS) and World Economic Forum East Asia (WEF-EA).
