Isuzu Philippines Corporation’s Technicians hailed champions at World Grand Prix Technical Contest

It looks like Isuzu Philippines Corporation has one more reason to celebrate before the year is up. The Japanese Commercial Vehicle maker’s Philippine arm bagged the Grand Champion trophy for Category B (Euro 4 and Below) at this year’s Isuzu I-1 Grand Prix World Technical Competition held in Fujisawa, Japan Last December 6, 2018.

A test of skill and knowledge, the Isuzu I-1 Grnad Prix Technical Competition saw Team Philippines bag top honors and bested a field composed of technicians from all across the globe. Team Philippines was composed of Jusua B. Cantre from Isuzu Bulacan, Khent John Q. Ventura from Isuzu Cavite, and their coach Gian Franco R. Cosico from IPC.

The contest saw Isuzu’s Philipine contingent best 70 other technicians from some 35 countries. It was no easy feat as the technicians had to hurdle two categories: the LCV and CV Classs. The CV Class was further divided into Category A (Euro 6) and Cartegory B, which our boys belonged to.

Team Philippines is no stranger to winning this prestigious tilt. While it placed 5th and 4th during previous competitions, it slowly rose until it reached the top spot ths year.
