Looking to buy a new Mazda CX-5 but aren’t too keen on All-Wheel Drive?

Bermaz Auto Philippines, official Mazda distributor in the country, may have the answer in the form of the CX-5 2.0-liter Front-Wheel Drive Sport.

It’s essentially a mix of the hot-selling CX-5 2.5-liter All-Wheel Drive Sport and 2.2-liter AWD Diesel—albeit with a front-wheel drive layout and a 2.0-liter SkyActiv-G gasoline motor.

While the powertrain may be down on displacement, creature comforts, convenience, and safety aren’t sacrificed in this variant.

As mentioned above, it gets goodies from the top-spec models such as the 7-inch TFT reconfigurable instrument cluster, new aircon controls, leather seats with Orange stitching, and the Mazda Connect infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Safety features that were passed down from high-spec brother include adaptive front lighting system, 360-degree view camera, front and rear parking sensors, blind spot warning, and rear cross traffic alert.

Al told, one gets the goodies without too much fluff.

The Mazda CX-5 is available in the following variants and prices:

2.0-liter FWD Pro: P1,730,000

2.0-liter FWD Sport: P1,890,000

2.5-liter AWD Sport: P1,990,000

2.2-liter AWD Sport Diesel: P2,230,000
