The Mitsubishi Strada GLS 4WD MT may have only entered the market in the second quarter of this year. Yet this hasn’t sopped it from bagging the coveted Truck of the Year—Philippines trophy given by the Car Awards Group Inc.
The Strada, with its vaunted 2.4-liter clean diesel MIVEC engine, bested a field of entries in the now growing pickup class. Its mix of tough truck and car-like comfort and amenities helped it take home this award, as well as the Best 4WD Pickup for 2017. And this time, it is equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox that gives the driver even more control under various driving conditions.
Aside from these, the hot-selling Mitsubishi Montero Sport GT took home the Best 4WD SUV at this year’s Car of the Year-Philippines awards.
