On October 22, 2017, all roads will lead to the Philippine Arena in Bulacan for the 2017 Mitsufest Philippines, an enormous gathering of different car clubs and enthusiasts united by a single passion; to celebrate the history and the success of the Tokyo-based 3-diamond carmaker.
In retrospect, the Mitsufest Philippines is a relatively new event in the local car club scene, being launched for the first time just last year at the Blue Bay in Macapagal, Pasay. At the time, the event attracted over 30 car clubs and many car enthusiasts who had the most exhilarating weekend full of anything and everything exciting about Mitsubishi for the whole family.
This time around, the 2nd staging of the Mitsufest Philippines will occupy the Philippine Arena, a 99,200sqm events area located right in the heart of the Bulacan province. Bigger and better, its organizer, It’s Happening Events, pegs it to pull in an attendance that’s estimated to breach more than 500 cars from various Mitsubishi car clubs. These car clubs include those that hoist the flags of such Mitsubishi models as the Mirage, Lancer, Galant, Adventure, Montero Sport, Pajero, and L300, among others.
The 2017 Mitsufest is also co-presented by Petron. With that being said, the fuel giant will be holding a number of fun contest activities for everyone, each will come with exciting prizes like fuel vouchers and Petron mechanise.
As with last year’s event, this year will also mark the return of the Mr. and Ms. Mitsufest Philippines. This pageant-based competition showcases the most talented and good looking male and female car club representatives.
Best part is that there will also be a beauty pageant for the cars! Why? Because the 2017 Mitsufest Philippines will give props to car models that prove the best-of-the-best in the following era categories; Best ‘80s, ‘90s, 2000s, and 2010s cars. Aside from these, awards will also be handed to the All-Stock models, People’s Choice, Best Bodykits, Best in Car Entertainment, Best Paint, and the highly anticipated Best Car Club Award.
Want to go beyond the event’s festivities? If so, one can also watch the championship-deciding round of the 2017 Philippine Autocross Championship. Moreover, the 2017 Mitsufest Philippines will happen at the same time and vicinity as the United Car Club of the Philippines car meet.
