It’s no secret that the Mitsubishi Montero Sport is one of the hottest-selling midsize Sport Utility Vehicles in the country. Since its market launch in 2008, this pick-up platform vehicle based on the Strada has captured the hearts and wallets of many a Filipino car owner.
So it’s no surprise that a slew of Montero Sport owners will be coming together for the very First MMS Nation Grand Meet-Up. Set to take place on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at the Blue Bay Walk, Pasay City, this will be a show of camaraderie between owners of the erstwhile Mitsubishi SUV.
First seen in 2008 with a 3.2-liter diesel motor, the Montero Sport was eventually equipped with a Variable Geometry Turbo on a smaller yet more potent 2.5-liter oil burner in 2011. This gave it better drivability and caught the eye of many driving enthusiasts. The current model comes with a slew of safety features such as Forward Collision Mitigation and Ultrasonic Misacceleration Mitigation system, just to name a few. And it’s got a potent yet efficient 2.4-liter four-cylinder diesel with MIVEC variable valve timing to boot.
