It’s hard to believe but the Ferrari 488 GTB is already a good four years old. First seen at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Ferrari’s Gran Torismo Berlinettta is set to be replaced this year by the all new F8 Tributo, which also makes its debut in Switzerland this March.

While the body is an aerodynamic feast for the eyes, the folks from Maranello say that it is likewise very functional. This helps give it exceptional downforce and equally stellar performance compared to its predecessor. Moreover, the F8 Tributo gets touches like the rear louvers that hark back to the iconic F40 from the late 1980s.

Underneath the gorgeous sheetmetal throbs a more potent version of the 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 with 720Hp and 77Nm of torque—the most powerful V8 from the Prancing Horse stable to date. The additional power and torque result in a 0-100kph time of just 2.9 seconds, a 0-200kph blast of 7.8 ticks, and a top speed of 340kph.

While the focus seems to be the performance, Ferrari did not forget to spruce up the cabin with the trademark Italian luxury treatment. The vents are now rounded, while the steering wheel and other controls are all new. It’s a fresh take on a classic design.

Ther Ferrari F8 Tributo will be displayed at this year’s Geneva Motor Show beginning next week.
