When Porsche adds the letters GTS to its models, one can expect even more performance and luxury from an already sporty yet comfortable lineup. As the 718 Boxster and Cayman progress in their life cycle, Porsche adds the GTS to these two vaunted nameplates. And as expected, more fun can be had behind the wheel.

The 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder boxer motor, for instance, now puts out 365hp and 430Nm of torque. That’s 15 horses more than the 718 Boxster S and Cayman S, as well as 35hp more than the previous GTS. While it may not seem like much, it allows both cars to reach 100kph from rest in just 4.1 seconds when fitted with the optional PDK gearbox and Sport Chrono Package.

Yes, the 718 Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS come standard with a 6-speed manual transmission. They also get goodies like Porsche Torque Vectoring, Sport Chrono Package,,and Porsche Active Suspension Management. All these make for an enjoyable drive that brings out the best in these cars.

The GTS goes black with a few blacked out bits such as the Sport Design front apron, tinted headlights, black tinted taillights, blackened rear apron, black logos, and centrally-mounted exhaust tips in the same shade.

As with the exterior, the cabin gets more luxury to go with the sporty touches. The sport seats have Alcantara centers, power adjustments, and the GTS emblem on the headrests. More Alacantar can be found on the center console, steering wheel, and armrests.

And while drivers enjoy these, they can make the most out of the drive with the Porsche Track Precision App. This cool piece of kit lets drivers record, analyze, and display driving data on their smartphone.  It lets them bring out the best in their GTS while being a great conversation piece as well.

The Porsche 718 Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS are now available to order. They will arrive in dealerships by mid-December.
