Remember the Small RS concept previewed by Honda Cars Philippines Inc. at the recent Philippine International Motor Show last year? Thi sporty little number, said the Japanese carmaker, was a peek into the upcoming second-generation Brio. Well, turns out it was indeed that, as seen from the new mini compact that debuted in the country yesterday.
Notice the same upswept headlamps with Park Lights that likewise resemble the ones on the current Mobilio. These flank a honeycomb grille that ties it in with the rest of the Honda family. At the side, you have character lines that give it a hint of sportiness and prevent the little hatch from looking slab sided. At the rear, the larger taillights offer better visibility while the new tailgate loses the huge glass area of its predecessor in favor of a more balanced glass-to-metal surface ratio.
Stepping inside, one will notice that the cabin is now larger, thanks to increased wheelbase and rear cargo dimensions. High-spec variants also get a new 7-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system, with the RS benefiting from Bluetooth connectivity. Speaking of the RS, this one boasts of orange accents on the seats and door panels for a sporty vibe.
