Introduced late last year to the global market, the latest-generation BMW 3-Series once again reinforced the Bavarian brand’s foothold in the sport sedan segment. For more than 40 years. Germany ‘sBlue-and-White propeller badge has been the benchmark for many a compact sport sedan. Now, SMC Asia Car Distributors Corporation, local importer and distributor of BMW vehicles, proudly unveils the 2019 BMW 3-Series.
Longer and wider, the new 3er still possesses the trademark design language that has made it recognizable to car aficionados the world over. Now, however, bits like full LED headlights, a larger kidney grille, a deeper set front clip, side skirts, and a sportier rear bumper all give the sole 330i M Sport variant that signature sporty vibe.
Step inside and you’ll be greeted by the trademark driver-centric cockpit that clearly matches its driver-focused nature. This being an M Sport, you’ve got a revised thick-rimmed steering wheel, seats with Aluminum Hexagon trim, and other pieces that make it both luxurious and sporty as well. Needless to say, the iDrive interface is there, this time it’s more high-tech just as in more premium models like its bigger 5-Series brother.
As you can tell from the model designation, this one is a gasoline-fed offering. To be more specific, it’s powered by a 2.0-litr TwinPower gasoline mill with 258hp and 400Nm of torque. For now, no word has been given if BMW will bring in the diesel-powered units.
All told, the latest BMW 3-Series promises to make things a bit more exciting in the compact sport sedan segment. And with a 5-year, 200,000km warranty (just like the equally new Z4), one gets total peace of mind. The 330i M Sport variant comes in at P4,590,000.
