All it took was a simple wave of his Visa payWave card and this lucky Caltex patron ended up a millionaire. Well, Dominic Tan from Davao City has been a regular user of Visa payWave card to make his fill-ups at Caltex Bajada in Davao City more convenient. And this eventually made him the grand prize winner of P1 million.
The Caltex-Visa payWave Drive Home a Millionaire promo, which ran from April 15 to July 31, 2017, gave all Caltex patrons the chance to win great prizes each time they filled up and pay for their purchase using their Vsia payWave card. The “wave” feature makes it convenient as it utilizes the contactless terminal for fast and hassle-free transactions.
Tan has been filling up at the aforementioned Davao Caltex station for some seven years now. He is also a regular user of Visa and other Caltex rewards cards such as Robinson’s Rewards and HappPlus. And for this, his loyalty has been rewarded. His prize money will be credited to his Visa card.
“I actually did not believe when I first got the news. I immediately called my wife and she also could not believe that I won a million pesos. We’re very happy right now with this huge gift from Caltex and Visa, and we will surely have a lot of time together with our kids enjoying this prize,” Tan shared.
Apart from Tan, three lucky customers won P100,000 each worth of StarCash.
