It’s been a rather busy time at Audi lately. Last month alone, the German luxury carmaker unveiled the new Q8, freshened up the A4 and A4 Avant, and brought out the latest iterations of the A1 Sportback and TT. And it seems that it isn’t about to take a break just yet as it debuts the next-generation Q3 today.

A close look at the compact Sport Utility Vehicle reveals a more athletic stance. The haunches are more masculine while the roofline is sleeker. It even borrows a styling cue from the new Q8 flagship, as seen from the D-pillar profile. The front grille, meanwhile, gets vertical slats that enhance the trademark Singleframe layout.

Stepping inside reveals a clean and tasteful design with a large 8.8-inch touchscreen sitting at the center. The Virtual Cockpit with 12.3-inch display si present to help drivers get all the pertinent info they need. And space is improved, Audi says, thanks to increased vehicle length and wheelbase. Cargo carrying capacity is now 530L with the rear seats up and 1,525L with those seats folded.

While Audi didn’t divulge any specific engine details, it did mention that there will be a choice of four powerplants—three gasoline and one diesel mill. Power outputs will range from 150- to 230hp and all will benefit from turbocharging. The motors will likewise be mated to either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed S-Tronic transmissions. Buyers will also have a choice of either front- or Quattro all-wheel drive.

Speaking of choices, drivers can toggle between six different Dynamic Handling settings. This adjusts the suspension to suit different driving styles and situations such as Auto, Comfort, Dynamic, Off-Road, Effiency, and Individual. This is aided by Automatic Damper Control that helps give a fine balance between ride comfort and sharp cornering.

As with most new premium SUVs today, the new Q3 gets the usual suite of safety gear like adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, 360-degree around view monitor, and the like. It’s all meant to give drivers peace of mind.

The 2019 Audi Q3 will hit dealerships beginning this November.
