It’s no secret that when the letter RS are attached to the Audi name, a comfortable and potent performer is usually the result. The new Audi RS 5 is no exception. Now, Filipinos will get to experience it as Audi Philippines recently launched the model via an exclusive media event at the Butamaru Ramen x Izakaya restaurant in Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
Just like the different flavors of the Japanese feast that tickled the palette, the new Audi RS 5 offers performance, luxury and of course, tech wrapped in one svelte package. The front end is characterized by the larger and flatter Audi Singleframe grille while the signature air intakes in strategic places, and flared wheel arches that widen the track by some 15mm all hint at performance. Meanwhile, the RS diffuser, a surface-mounted rear spoiler, oval exhaust tips, and 20-inch wheels all combine to give the car a sophisticated stance that can likewise get the pulse racing.
Just like the outside, the cabin is both classy and functional with a predominantly black theme. Nappa leather lines the seats while a flat-bottom steering wheel, the Audi Virtual Cockpit, and a slew of RS badges all put one in the mood for driving.
