While most folks will be going out of town this Holy Week, there are more than a few who choose to take a staycation in the Metro. The quiet and traffic-free streets are usually a come-on. Plus, establishments like Bonifacio High Street will even make it a more meaningful time for them.
Yes, you read that right: posh Bonifcio High Street will turn into a pace of spiritual renewal as it hosts the annual Walkway: Reflections on the Stations of the Cross. Now on its 10th year, this spiritual journey that takes us through the Passion and Death of Jesus will be held from the Fully Booked Block all the way to One BHS Park. It began yesterday, Palm Sunday, and will run all the way to Easter Sunday, April 1. It is open from 11am to 11pm.
Once you’re done accompanying Our Lord on His Passion, you can continue the spiritual reflection via musical journey courtesy of Mr. Gary Valenciano, who will render a slew of inspirational Christian songs. He will be joined by hip-hop and R&B singer Quest, along with Indie artist Clara Benin who will serenade you this Easter Sunday at the Globe Iconic BHS Amphitheater beginning at 6pm.
Speaking of Easter, Christ’s Resurrection is likewise a time for the kids to have some fun. But instead of the proverbial Easter Bunny, it’s a dinosaur that will drop by this year. BHS will be turned into Dinoland, a colorful and fun place where dinosaurs rule and kids dressed in their best dino costumes can join in the fun and hunt for those Easter eggs with cool prizes. They can even have their picture taken with the Dino egg. They can also dabble in some wall art if they wish.
To join, simply present a single or accumulated receipt worth P2,000 from any BHS establishment from March 23 to April 1, 2018. So head over to Bonifacio High Street this Holy Week. Who knows? It might just be the place where you will discover your spiritual side.
