The Toyota Innova is best known as a family-friendly Multipurpose Vehicle (MPV).Yet this doesn’t mean it can’t be sporty, right? Toyota Motor Philippines thinks so, too, as it introduces a new variant to the lineup: the Innova Touring Sport.
Dubbed as an adventure vehicle the Touring Sport model gets a chrome front grille flanked by smoked headlights. The new fascia is complemented by a restyled bumper with a chin spoiler. The look is matched by a revised rear bumper with an equally eye-catching diffuser. The look is finished off by matte black 16-inch alloy wheels for a truly sporty touch.
While the exterior may have a sporty vibe, the cabin retains that luxurious feeling, tanks to touchscreen infotainment displays and goodies lie a reverse camera, and the other niceties of the 2.8E model. It’s both family-oriented and a place where folks with active lifestles will feel right at home.
Powering the Innova Touring Sport is Toyota’s tried-and-tested 2.8-liter TGD-FTV four-cylinder diesel with 171hp and 360Nm of torque. This motor can be p[aired with either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The Toyota Innova Touring Sport is priced at P1,275,000 for the MT variant and P1,355,000 for the AT. Colors choices include Freedom White, Blue Mica Metallic, and Red Mica Metallic.
