(Updated with video) The Chevrolet Colorado High Country Storm makes its way to the Philippines

September 27, 2018

With pickup trucks becoming a viable option as far as vehicle choices go, more carmakers are putting their best foot forward and offering numerous new variants of their erstwhile models. Case in point is The Covenant Car Company Inc (TCCCI) which has just unveiled the new Chevrolet Colorado High Country Storm.

The name alone connotes images of a high-riding number with capabilities that can brave even the strongest forces of nature. Well, the already tough-looking Colorado gets black accents on the hood, door mirror caps, body panels, and tailgate. These are complemented by a black rear sport bar on the pickup bed and dark colored alloy wheels.

In contrast to the tough look on the outside, the cabin is a place of luxury with materials and amenities that can rival a high-end SUV. The highlight of all this is an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen that allows users to easily connect their mobile device via Apple CarPlay to enhace safety and connectivity even while on the move.

The rugged looks are backed up by the tried-and-tested 2.8-liter Duramax four-cylinder turbodeisel motor that puts out 200hp and 500Nm of torque. Mated to a 6-speed automatic with 4WD, the Colorado High Country Strom can haul up to 1 ton and tow up to 3.6 tons. Moreover, it can wade thru 800mm deep floods without breaking a sweat.

And yes, occupants are kept safe with such safety kit as Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, Traction Control, Hll Decent Control and Hill Start Assist, Tire Pressure Montir, and the usual ABS/EBD and dual airbags. Chevrolet has also thrown in a Remote Start function that allows you to strat the engine even while you’re away from the vehicle and turn on the aircon to cool things down.

The cool new Chevrolet Colorado High Country Storm is now available at your Chevy dealer for P1,638,888.
