If you’re a Porsche 911 fan, you’d know that the 911 R is the variant for those that pine for a 911 GT3 but want a more driver-centric model. Hence the 4.0-liter flat-6 with 493hp and 460Nm and the slick 6-speed gearbox.
But alas, only 991 examples were ever produced and their all sold out. In lieu of this, the German sports car maker offers the 911 GT3 Turing. Of course, you can still get one from the pre-owned market. Or, you can go for this—a scale model 911 R.
The Porsche 911 R model car comes in 1:18 scale and is actually made out to be a jigsaw puzzle. Unlike the usual flat puzzle, however, this one will form a 3D image of the real thing once you complete the 108-piece project.
As you can see from the photo, the 3D puzzle made by German puzzle maker Ravensburger has amazing life-like detail. Too bad it doesn’t have the awesome engine and tranny, as well as the rear-wheel steering and other bits of the actual car.
Still, it’s a great way to acquire your very own Porsche 911 R.
