Chevron Philippines In (CPI), Caltex fuels and lubricants marketer in the country, celebrated Day 4 of its Week of Caring last September 19-23, 2016 by volunteering to spend time with pediatric cancer patients at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH).
Twenty (20) Chevron employees gave their time and talent to reach out to the children and via Christmas Card making session. With the holiday season fast approaching, the cards are the perfect way to let everyone know it’s Christmas time.
This is especially true for the cancer-stricken youngsters. Thanks to the Christmas Card making event, they felt, even for a brief moment, the joy of creating something from the heart. it gave them the chance to express their artistic skills, as well as let out all that creative energy. The folks of the PGH Cancer Institute even noted that such an exercise can help improve their treatment and overall well-being as it gives them a positive outlook in life.
Now on its ninth edition, the CPI Week of Caring is part of Chevron’s Corporate Social Responsibility program.
