In case you aren’t aware, Peugeot has a subcompact offering known as the 301. It’s been out in our market for a couple or so years now. Worldwide, it actually saw daylight some four years ago. And now, it’s time for a refresh.

The facelifted Peugeot 301 gets a new front end with a revised vertical-design grille, tinted headlights, and an updated bumper with LED daytime running lights. The rear end receives new tailamps featuring a 3D look. Inside, the changes continue with a 7-inch touchscreen display that can mirror one’s phone. There is also reversing camera as well as available 3D navigation system for selected markets.

Power comes from a host of gasoline and diesel motors. The petrol versions include a 1.2-liter 82hp mill, or a 1.6-liter, 115hp lump. The oil-burners are made up of either 92hp or 100hp motors, both displacing 1.6-liters. Transmission choices consist of a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic.

The Peugeot 301 will be available beginning in early 2017.
