While many people have long associated Hino Motors Philippines with providing trucks and buses for the Filipino businessman, the company also has a conscientious side. Through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, HMP has been engaging in medical missions, tree planting activities and the like. Now, it bats for a better life through education.
HMP, in partnership with its principal Hino Motors Ltd of Japan, recently donated a range of equipment to the Phil-Nippon Technical College (PNTC). The donation, which nclude engine and transmission assemblies, is designed to help PNTC’s Powertrain training program.
More specifically, HMP donated the Hino J08 series diesel engine. This powerplant is used in various medium duty trucks and buses. HMP also included two types of transmission and differential setups. The parts were turned over last September 4 at the PNTC campus in Laguna.
In case you didn’t know, PNTC has been offering technical skills and Japanese language training courses for quite some time now. These programs are designed to help individuals land a stable job in various affiliate Japanese companies. In fact, PNTC has sent over 250 graduates to Japan to work in different firms since 2015.
