In 2005, Toyota wowed the world by introducing the FJ Cruiser. The midsize Sport Utility Vehicle wasn’t just another off-road capable Toyota but one that featured styling cues lifted straight from the original FJ40 of the 1970s—albeit in modern guise. And now, Toyota Japan will finally bid farewell to the FJ via the Final Edition.
The Toyota FJ Cruiser Final Edition is special due to its exclusive shade of beige, which is seen on the exterior. This is contrasted by black bits and a spiffy set of 20-inch alloy rims. Stepping inside, more beige trims can be found on the seat upholstery and center cluster. Again, black accents break up the sea of brown and give it a modern ttouch.
This isn’t the first Final Edition of the FJ Cruiser, though. Toyota announced a few years back that it would stop producing the FJ in the US market (and it did). Now, it’s the home market’s turn to witness the swan song.
So if you currently own an FJ Cruiser, you might want to think twice before letting it go. You just might be relinquishing ownership of a classic.
The Toyota FJ Cruiser Final Edition will be sold in the Japanese market—for the last time, that is.
