Mazda has always had a knack for building fun to drive cars with edgy designs to boot. Cars like the RX-7, the MX-5 (aka Miata), and of course, the range of KODO Soul of Motion-designed models that make up its current lineup embodies this. Now, the Japanese brand looks to the future with two distinct concepts that hint at what lies ahead for the brand.
Showcased at the 45th Tokyo Motor Show, the Mazda KAI Concept and Vision Coupe represent the future Zoom-Zoom direction. The KAI Concept, for instance, shows off a more mature interpretation of the KODO Soul of Motion design language that has adorned the flanks of Maa’s offerings since 2012.
This new hatchback boasts flowing lines and curves that are more solid and muscular. Moreover, designers used a reflective type of effect over the body to give the look more depth.
