As we find ourselves in the thick of the holiday season, many families and friends are gathering to share some Christmas cheer. On a rather timely note, Volkswagen Philippines proudly unveils its latest offering, one that can fit the occasion just fine. We refer to the new Volkswagen Caddy.
The latest Multipurpose Vehicle from the German marque offers lots of space for seven people and their cargo. It does so with flexible seating configurations to help owners load their gear and loved ones with various options to boot.
Available in Comfortline (CL) and Sportline (SL), the Caddy comes loaded with creature comfort features such as cruise control, touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and six speakers, auto-folding outer mirrors, and frg lamps. The aforementioned higher-spec SL version even adds goodies like 17-inch Madrid alloy wheels, color-keyed side moldings with chrome insert, silver roof rails, smoked rear lamps, and driver alert system to the list.
Either way, each variant is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged direct-injection diesel motor that puts out 102hp and 250Nm of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed direct shift gear transmission. And both variants boast an extensive list of safety features such as front, side, and curtain airbags, flat tire indicator, electronic immobilizer, and Hill Hold Control, just to name a few.
The new Volkswagen Caddy is available with a suggested retail price of P1,430,000 for the CL and P1,480,000 for the SL.
