The Ayala Group’s AC Industrials, known for handling a slew of automotive brands such as Honda, Volkswagen, Kia, Isuzu, and KTM, added a new player to its already distinguished lineup. This one is Maxus, which formally entered the country via a grand launch at the Blue Leaf Filipinas in Paranaque City.

Maxus Philipines, as it is formally known, will carry the G10 MPV and the V80 Comfort, Flex, and Transport Vans. The G10 is a 9-seater people mover that boasts of luxury features like captain’s chairs for the second and third rows, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a wealth of connectivity options, and dual aircon system, just to name a few.

Powered by a 1.9-liter diesel mill with Variable Geometry Turbocharging that develops 150hp and 350Nm of torque, the motor is paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. All this power is handled by front McPherson strusts and rear 5-link coil springs, as well double-layer welding technology for the utmost body rigidity. Safety comes in the form of a multitude of airbags, stability control, and that rigid bodyshell. Priced at just P1,680,000, it promises Maximum value for money with Max Savings.

Besides the G10 MPV, Maxus Philippines will cater to school bus, shuttle services, and cargo movers with its V80 Comfort, Transport, and Flex variants, respectively. The V80 Comfort is a 13-seater van that is ideal for large families or school bus services. With dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Isofix child seat anchors, and rear parking sensors, as well as a rice of just P1,570,000, you get Max Sulit passenger comfort and safety.

Meanwhile, the V80 Transport can load up to 18 people and comes with the same features, including the 2.5-liter CRDI diesel motor with VGT. It can be had for just P1,280,000. As for the cargo moving variant, this is the Maxus V80 Flex, which is a three-seater model that maximizes the room at the back for all kinds of stuff. This one goes for just P1,190,000.

For those wondering, Maxus has been in the mobility business for over 120 years now. Starting off s the Leyland Steam Van in 1896, it became Leyland Motors in 1907. It rolled out the Leyland DAF Van in 2004, bringing to the fore a viable option for those looking for a reliable cargo or people mover in Europe and other countries around the world. From its British roots, Maxus was acquired by Shanghia Automotive Industry Corporation in 210. It later introduced the V80 in 2011 and the G10 in 2014.

So yes, Maxus is no newbie to the automotive landscape. It reinforces this with a 3-year, 100,000km warranty, along with a service interval of 5,000km for the initial PMS schedule, and every 10,000kms thereafter.

One can check out Maxus Philippines at its very first sales and service facility in the Greenfield District in Mandaluyong City. More showrooms in ASEANA City in Paranaque, Quexzon Avenue, and Cebu will follow real soon.
