The Ayala Group’s AC Industrials, known for handling a slew of automotive brands such as Honda, Volkswagen, Kia, Isuzu, and KTM, added a new player to its already distinguished lineup. This one is Maxus, which formally entered the country via a grand launch at the Blue Leaf Filipinas in Paranaque City.
Maxus Philipines, as it is formally known, will carry the G10 MPV and the V80 Comfort, Flex, and Transport Vans. The G10 is a 9-seater people mover that boasts of luxury features like captain’s chairs for the second and third rows, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a wealth of connectivity options, and dual aircon system, just to name a few.
Powered by a 1.9-liter diesel mill with Variable Geometry Turbocharging that develops 150hp and 350Nm of torque, the motor is paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. All this power is handled by front McPherson strusts and rear 5-link coil springs, as well double-layer welding technology for the utmost body rigidity. Besides the G10 MPV, Maxus Philippines will cater to school bus, shuttle services, and cargo movers with its V80 Comfort, Transport, and Flex variants, respectively.
