Last April at the Manila International Auto Show, Motor Image Pilipinas previewed a special variant of the Subaru XV, the Subaru XV GT Edition. After a few months of eager anticipation, Filipinos will now get the chance to own the sportier version of the hot-selling crossover.
A joint undertaking between Giken Co. Ltd. and former head of Global Design at Subaru, Mr. Masahiko “Jack” Kobayashi, the XV GT Edition features a host of sporty upgrades to give the little crossover a bit more flair and functional style to boot.
The exterior enhancements include a front bumper lip, side skirts, rear bumper lip, 18-inch Bespoke Alloy Wheels., and a rear roof spoiler to finish things off. Inside sporty seats that take inspiration from some of Europe’s finest performance rides find their way into the cabin. These are complemented by a Dual Side View Monitor that aids visibility in tight spots, along with Steering Responsive Headlights that follow the tiller’s direction for safer night time driving. Finally, X-Mode allows drivers to tackle tricky or slippery surfaces with confidence.
