Porsche Cayenne S and Cayenne S Diesel Get the Platinum Touch

Platinum—for Porsche fans, this name stands for sporty functionality. This essentially means putting a few special touches on Porsche models to give them a bit more sportiness and a whole lot more class. While the Platinum badge has long been with Porsche, the German sportscar maker has expanded it to include the new Porsche Cayenne S and Cayenne S Diesel.

Both Cayenne variants gain goodies like eight-way adjustable seats with leather and Alcantara—straight from the Cayenne GTS. The outer touches consist of stylish 21-inch Platinum finish alloy wheels, gloss black accents, wheel arch extensions, and privacy glass.

As for that sporty functionality, this can be seen in bits like bi-xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System, Park Assist, Power Steering Assist Plus, auto-dimming mirrors inside and out, the cool Platinum lettering on the front door entry guards, and a BOSE surround sound system with navigation and Porsche Communications Management. All these are capped off by the Porsche Crest on the front seat headrests and the signature analogue clock on the dash.

The Cayenne S Platinum Edition is still powered by the 3.6-liter twin-turbo engine with 420hp, while the Cayenne S Diesel Platinum is motivated by the V8 twin-turbo mill with 385 horses. Each one is available in a range of distinctive colors, including new shades of Jet Black, Mahogany, Purpurite, Rhodium Silver, and Carrera White.
