Asia is fast becoming a major sales point for luxury carmaker Rolls-Royce. In China, for instance, the largest single bespoke shipment was delivered to the country’s The 13 Hotel. And just recently, Japan and Korea opened their doors to new Rolls-Royce dealerships and studio.
Torsten Muller-Otvos, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars announced during a recent visit to Japan that his firm will be opening its sixth dealership in the country by 2017. The latest showroom, which will be located in Hiroshima, comes after Rolls-Royce outlets in Yokohama, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Kyoshu. Japan is the fourth largest market for Rolls-Royce cars worldwide, with sales rising by 23 percent compared to the same period last year.
South Korea, meanwhile, welcomes the new Rolls-Royce Studio, that will open its doors to the public on on the 1st of November. The second one of its kind is patterned after the original Studio or Atelier in Goodwood, England.
The South Korea Rolls-Royce Studio is the first of its kind in Asia. It will give would-be clients the chance to experience the ultra-exclusive world of Rolls-Royce, including the very unique closed-course test drive. The facility, which sits near Incheon International Airport, houses a cozy 200 sq.m. facility that is divided into two areas.
The Car Gallery allows guests to view the latest models situated on a rotating floor. Should they wish to learn more about the car and get a better taste of Rolls-Royce, the Atelier Lounge cossets them in the lap of bespoke luxury. One must set an appointment to experience this, though.
With markets like Japan and Korea growing, we wouldn’t be surprised to find more clients rolling around in a Rolls.
