The Refreshed Honda Mobilio Lands in the Philippines

Since its introduction to the local market in 2015, the Honda Mobilio has captured the Filipino family’s fancy with its car-like drive and minivan versatility and space. This has allowed many Pinoys to carry the usual barangay while still being able to use the vehicle on a daily basis even in gridlocked traffic.

Now, Honda Cars Philippines Inc. gives the Mobilio a refresh by adding more style and a more premium feel. The face lifted 2017 Honda Mobilio receives a new front grille with bolder styling, flanked by redesigned headlights with LED Guide Position Lamps. The base 1.5 E MT and 1.5 V CVT get a chrome grille treatment matched by spiffy 15-inch alloys, while the top-spec 1.5 RS Navi is spruced up by a Gloss Black RS grille and RS-spec 15-inch rims.

Just like the outside, the seven-seat cabin likewise sports a few changes. The V and E variants, for instance, now get a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen interface with Bluetooth for hands-free connectivity and streaming, black fabric seats, silver A/C vent trim, and blue illumination for the meter cluster.

The RS, on the other hand, is fitted with an RS-style meter set with Orange illumination, a 7-inch touchscreen with Navigation and integrated reverse camera, and a Smart Key with push start system.

As with the pre-facelifted model, the Honda Mobilio is still powered by the tried-and-tested 1.5-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder motor that puts out 120hp and 145Nm of torque. It is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a Continuously Variable Transmission. The sporty RS variant even gets steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters for better driver control.

New Mobilio Dual SRS Airbags

Being a family friendly Honda, the 2017 Mobilio is packed with safety gear such as dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, and Speed Sensing door locks. The RS version even receives Vehicle Stability Assist and Hill Start Assist—a first for a Multi-purpose Utility Vehicle (MUV).

The 2017 Honda Mobilio will be available in a host of colors, including the cool new Phoenix Orange Pearl, which is exclusive to the 1.5 RS Navi. It comes in three variants with the following prices:

Honda Mobilio 1.5 E MT: Php829,000

Honda Mobilio 1.5 V CVT: Php909,000

Honda Mobilio 1.5 RS Navi: Php1,029,000
