Visibly drunk driver goes into beast mode, claims he's a politician, gets let off by police

Friends, meet the next viral sensation. And no, this is not a Carabuena/Maserati owner/Fil-Am Brat in Clark we're talking about. This is way beyond that. This is yet another shocking display of entitlement and arrogance from our elected leaders and a total failure from the Police to protect and serve.

As pathetic as this councilor's behaviour is, it is one thing to be a grossly irresponsible ass on the road, it is another thing entirely for the police to assist you in being one by just letting you back into your car when you have physically threatened another person and are visibly inebriated.

Because regardless of what happened after this video, the mere fact that he wasn't breathalyzed on the spot is already a failure on the part of our police; a complete dereliction of duty. Imagine for a moment that this guy killed someone on the way home after this accident. What then? What do you tell the family? "Sorry po. Councilor daw."

And that tells you pretty much everything you need to know about the anti drunk and drugged driving act of the Philippines. It is just that. An act.

God bless us all. We need it.

Oh, and no need to ask permission to share. When you behave this badly publicly, you give up all your rights to privacy. This needs national attention. Our roads are deadly enough as it is without throwing alcohol, arrogance and incompetence into the mix.
