We all know the Ford GT to be a special car. Not only is it the Blue Oval brand’s very own supercar, but it has quite a bit of history attached to its name. We refer, of course, to its victories at legendary events like Le Mans. Ford celebrates these wins via special GT Heritage Edition.
The unique car sports a host of styling cues that pay tribute to the 1967 Le Mans win by All-American drivers Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt. The car features exposed carbon packaging that is complemented by its gloss Race Red finish with white stripes. The racy looks are matched by Frozen White #1 decals on the doors and hood, along with satin silver 20-inch wheels with black lug nuts. The look is capped off by red brake calipers and silver mirror caps.
Just like the exterior, the cabin gets the racing touch from leather with red accents on the carbon fiber seats and steering wheel. The seatbelts match this with red webbing, while the paddle shifters are finished in anodized grey. Dark satin appliques adorn the door registers, instrument bezels, and x-brace. These are matched by exposed matte center console, air vents, and door sills.
Being a limited edition model, the ‘67 Heritage Edition GT will get a serialized identification plate to let the world know you’re driving a special car. And yes, it will only be available in limited copies.
