The BMW Car Club of the Philippines (BMWCCP), the country’s only BMW owners group recognized by the International Council of BMW Car Clubs, recently held its Bimmerfest 2017. The said event took place at the Uptown Parade Grounds in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig.
In review, the Bimmerfest is a gathering of different BMW car owners and automotive clubs held in different parts of the world. In 2003, BMWCCP took the initiative to create a version of it here in the country. The Bimmerfest Philippines is now on its 14th year and has since then cultivated camaraderie among fellow BMW owners, all aiming to flame the passion for the German automotive brand.
The recently concluded 2017 Bimmerfest attracted a number of BMW car clubs from various regions nationwide. These include the South Bimmer Group, the North Bimmer Group, the E46 Club Philippines, the E36 Club Philippines, the E34 Club Philippines, the E30 Club Philippines, and the Subic Bimmer Club, among others.
Each car club showcased its stable of cool BMW rides. In addition, there were also a lot of individual BMW owners who joined in to display their machines and take part in the festivities. But the 2017 Bimmerfest isn’t all about the car show as it also held various fun activities for everyone. Among these include games from Shell V-Power+, the event’s co-presenter.
Finally, awards were given to numerous car displays which have earned top pints in categories such as Best Stock, Best Modified, Best Classic, and more. However as of this writing, BMWCCP has yet to present the official list of awardees. With that said, stay tuned on this article for updates.
