Vespa, an Italian motorbike maker, has introduced its latest GTS line of scooters in Vietnam. The line, which is also produced in the said country, consists of 3 variants, all evoking elegant body designs, note-worthy ride comfort, and cutting-edge technologies.

In detail, the Vespa GTS boasts a body that’s crafted to reflect the brand’s timeless design signature. Taking inspiration from its classic large-body Vespone models, Vespa designed the GTS as something that represents traditionalism with a modern twist. That twist comes in the form of small details up front and at the back like the fenders, headlights with LED daytime running lights (DRL), and turn signal lights.

As for comfort and convenience, the Vespa GTS offers a natural seating position for its riders. This, in turn, would help minimize fatigue, especially during long rides. It also has a spacious helmet compartment, a bag hook and more storage spaces in the leg shield back plate, and a rear luggage rack.

The Vespa GTS is equipped with notable tech like the remote-operated saddle cover and Bike Finder. The former provides an extra bit of user friendliness as it automatically opens the under-seat compartment cover with a push of a remote button. The former, on the other hand, helps the rider find his or her bike in a crowded parking space by way of flashing signal lights. Aside from these, the scooter also has a USB port for media devices located in the leg shield compartment.

The Italian scooter comes in 3 kinds; the GTS 125, GTS 150, and the range-topping GTS 300. The first variant is powered by a 125cc engine, capable of producing 12 hp and 12 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the GTS 150 delivers 14 hp with 14 Nm of pulling power from its 150cc engine. Finally, the GTS 300 gets a 278cc power plant which is rated at 21 hp and 22 Nm of torque. All mills are mated to a CVT gearbox.

Best part is that all 3 Vespa GTS variants also come in Super trims. The Super trim essentially makes the GTS look sportier as it replaces the standard wheels with blacked-out rims. The saddle is also upgraded with double upholstery to complete the look.

Of note, Motoitalia, an affiliate of the Autohub Group and Vespa’s exclusive distributor in the Philippines, has yet to announce when it would bring in the latest GTS line. But it would surely be a delight to see one of these stylish bikes on the road here in the country.
